Willow Housing and Care

Facts and figures

Willow Housing was established following the transfer of Brent Council’s sheltered housing stock, in October 2000.

Willow owns and/or manages some 700 units of sheltered housing in Brent, as well as 120 units in residential care homes for older people. In addition, 70 new extra-care flats are being built.

Willow has a £21m development programme to improve and re-build the stock transferred from the local authority to bring it up to the highest standards and meet the current and future needs and expectations of Brent’s culturally-diverse older residents. Tenants have been consulted on all aspects, from design of the buildings and kitchens to colour schemes and furnishings and the services they receive.

A voluntary Board of Management governs Willow Housing. One third of the members are elected tenants and residents. See Tenants: Get involved.
